The world only moves when you do.

Stand still and everything slows to a crawl. You get all the time you want

to look at the maze — and the maze gets all the time it needs to creep
toward you.

Almost unlimited mazes...

8 hand-made mazes, plus an unlimited number of generated ones.

The eight are what you play in RUN mode, each introducing one idea:

1. The Hound
2. Traffic
3. Chokepoint
4. The Mirror
5. Don't Think
6. Two Minds
7. The Long Hall
8. Time Maze

Ok there is a limit when playing outside the daily run., but it is huge - about 4.3 billion distinct mazes per depth, which in practice means you'll never see the same one twice.

Move, and the world snaps back to full speed.

TIME MAZE is a maze chase built on one idea: your movement is the clock, and
the clock is your score.

Stop to think. Then commit.

While you're standing still, faint markers show exactly where every enemy
will be in one second and in two. You can plan a whole route while the world
holds its breath.

The catch is that it never holds it completely. Everything keeps creeping,
the clock keeps running on real time, and the Watcher — the pale thing in
the corner — only ever moves while you are standing still.

Thinking is free. It is never *free*.

Everything in here is trying to read you

- **The Hound** chases you and speeds up the longer a maze runs. It stays a
little slower than you, always, so you can break away if you keep moving.
The maze is what traps you, not the dog.
- **The Patroller** walks a fixed loop, dangerous on a schedule, and never
reacts to you at all.
- **The Mirror** re-walks your own route from two and a half seconds ago,
pauses and all. Double back and you are walking into yourself.
- **The Watcher** advances only while you stand still. Speed is the only
answer to it.
- **Time Gates** stand open while the world is frozen and slam shut half a
second after you start running. Get far enough ahead and you can shut one
in a hound's face.

## Three ways to play

**RUN** — eight hand-built mazes, each introducing one new idea, scored
against a par time.

**ENDLESS** — generated mazes forever, three lives, a difficulty curve that
keeps climbing. The boards are new every run, and the par times are worked
out from the actual route through each one, so the score chase stays honest
on a maze nobody has seen before.

**DAILY** — one maze a day, seeded from the date, the same board for
everyone. Your best of the day and your streak are saved locally.

Tools, not get-outs

Collect a **Time Bomb** and the fuse burns on *movement*, not on the clock.
Freeze, place it, run, and it goes off behind you. It kills enemies. It
kills you too.

Find a **Rewind** and you can step 1.5 seconds back, enemies included, for
300 points. Press it in the half second after you die and it will pull you
out of your own death.

 Controls

- **Move** — arrow keys or WASD, or drag anywhere on the left of the screen
- **Stop** — let go
- **Creep** — hold Shift, or push the thumbstick partway
- **Bomb / Rewind** — Space / X
- **Pause** — P or Escape

Lifting your thumb *is* the game, so on touch the stick has a deliberate
dead zone: inside it you are stopped and the world slows down.

Creeping is the middle gear — half your speed, half the world's speed, the
same standoff with twice the time to read it. It costs you the clock.

Two looks

Switch between **NEON** and **CRT** from the pause menu, and turn screen
shake and heavy particles down if you would rather.

A browser game. One HTML file, no install, keyboard or touch, plays on a
phone. Your best runs are saved in your browser and nothing is uploaded
anywhere.
